During the years that we have been in Puerto Escondido, we have grown with the town and have been an architectural and cultural influence. Our intimate relationship with the surrounding communities has helped us find the best people to work in our hotel. We are known for our personal attention to our guests. Many of our employees have been with us since the hotel opened in 1981.
Puerto Escondido is located on the Pacific Coast of the State of Oaxaca
The Hotel Santa Fe faces two beautiful beaches, the Marinero Beach and the Zicatela Beach. We are only 10 minutes from the Puerto Escondido International Airport (PXM).
There are direct one-hour flights from Mexico City every day on the airlines Aeromar and VivaAerobus. Interjet and Volaris also comes from Mexico City several days a week, and Volaris has non-stop flights from Guadalajara twice a week.
You can also arrive via Huatulco (HUX) which is located about 1 ½ hours south of Puerto Escondido. There are flights to Huatulco from Mexico City on Interjet, Magnicharter and Aeromexico. Sunwing brings charter flights from several Canadian cities. Taxis from Huatulco to Puerto Escondido cost about 1800 pesos. Or, outside of the airport you can catch a bus to Puerto Escondido at a much lower price.
From the City of Oaxaca, Aerotucan has 40-minute flights to Puerto Escondido and Huatulco.

Don’t stay out in the sun too long, especially your first few days here, and be careful when the sun is most intense, between 11 AM and 4 PM. Protect yourself with a good sunscreen.
Bring comfortable, casual clothing for hot weather. You may also want a lightweight long-sleeved shirt or sweater for a cooler day or evening..
Notice the flags flying at the life guard stations and other places on the beach. If they are green, you can swim. If they are yellow, be careful. If they are red, conditions are too dangerous for swimming.

[ENG] This hotel was a great surprise in Zicatela. There is no bad thing I can comment about it. Rooms and the rest of the installations were nice, they also have a good restaurant (seriously, even the oatmeal with fruit is delicious) and location is great just in the beginning of El Morro Street. And the bonus, service of staff is impeccable.

This is a really nice hotel, with a traditional Mexican ambiance. My room was large with a cathedral ceiling and a small deck with an ocean view. The food at the restaurant was great and I ate there every night even though I had originally planned to go to other restaurants in the area. Beautiful view from the main patio. Nice mix of guests, everyone was friendly and laid back. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

we have been here numerous times on out annual trip to puerto escondido. we've had lunches and dinners and we have never been disappointed. the salads, enchiladas, fish dishes are all excellent. the menu is very extensive. the restaurant is part of a huge old hotel and it is on the second floor overlooking the beach and always a good sunset. if you come puerto escondido be sure to try this place.

We are staying for 10 days and opted for a Junior Suite. More money than we usually spend for hotels in Mexico, but this has been worth every penny. The location is lovely, being at a quiet end of the beach. The room we have is very comfortable and the terrace overlooking the pool, with the sea in the background, is like a movie set. The staff, and I mean everyone, has been courteous, efficient, and just nice. The restaurant is not overpriced and is actually a good place for any meal, although there are lots of options nearby. The two pools are well maintained, clean, refreshing, and we'll supplied with chairs, tables, and lounge chairs. Poolside service with a smile.
